Two opinion pieces about anti-Chinese/anti-Asian racism. It’s very real, and very violent at times, but the micro aggressions are also doing real damage. And as we will see in a future week, there is a long history to it in the USA. Check out these two pieces from the past weeks: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/18/opinion/asian-americans-racism.html and https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/21/opinion/anti-asian-violence.html?searchResultPosition=1

A new hashtag has come up on social media in response to this worrying trend: #StopAsianHate – check it out on your preferred social media platforms, or even better: use it to tag posts that contribute to the solution!

(Why use the capitals in a Hashtag? It helps screenreader software to differentiate between the different words, so visually impaired people can understand more easily what the tag says. This use of capitalization is called “camel case”, or should we write CamelCase?)
